Have you ever thought? What makes a person with good upbringing and good background makes him behave very well, where as a person with a disturbed background or traumatic past behaves very violently. Which force makes us a hero, a criminal or a contributor? Why there is so much difference in human actions? We should know that human beings are not dull creatures who will do some thing without a reason. Even creatures do some thing for a reason! Whatever we do, there is always a reason for it. We may not be consciously aware of that reason, but there is undoubtedly a single driving force behind all human behaviors. This very force impacts every phase of our life, relationships, finances, body or our brain. So what is this force which is even controlling us now and will continue to do so till the rest of our life? PAIN AND PLEASURE! Whatever we do in life, is to either avoid pain or to gain pleasure.

Many times people talk about the changes they want to make in their lives, but cannot do the needful. They experience frustration, anger as they know they need to take action but cannot get themselves to do it. They keep changing their behavior, rather than dealing with the cause behind it. Understanding and utilizing the forces of pain and pleasure will allow you for once and all to create the lasting changes improvements you desire for yourself and those dear to you. Failing to understand this force , you are heading for a doomed future, where you will always live in the phase of reactions, like an animal or machine.

Think about it… why you do not do some of the things you know you should be doing? After all why are u procrastinating it? What you mean by that word… procrastination? It is when you know, you need to do certain thing but you still do not do it. WHY? The reason is very simple… you believe taking action to do that thing at this present moment will be more painful rather than putting it off! On the other hand, you must have experienced putting something for so long that suddenly you felt pressure to just do it, to get it done! You changed what you linked pain and pleasure to! So, now NOT taking action became more painful, rather than putting it off! So in short, all our actions are mainly due to the way we link pain and pleasure to them.
