It’s time to start getting what you want out of school, work, your relationship and life in general. It’s time to Make Your Own Lunch? (Hint: it has NOTHING to do with actual food!)
Do you remember when you were a kid and eating your lunch at school? Do you remember what it was like opening up that ‘G.I. Joe’ or My ‘Little Pony’ lunchbox with anticipation and excitement of what goodies would be inside? Were you ever disappointed when you opened you lunch to find that the cookies and cupcakes were replaced with carrots and celery? That, my friends, is called “lunch bag letdown”; when you open your lunch to find out it’s not what you expected!
Saturday, Craig and I were driving behind an SUV on Delaware Route 1: the main artery along the coast. For some reason, I’m always reading automobile license tags, and this one said “RIGHT”. I wondered if this moniker was a commentary on the driver’s self-esteem, her politics, or perhaps she thought she might be either ‘Ms. Right’ or even ‘Ms. Right Now’. For some odd reason, it reminded me of the song that goes, “If you can’t be with the one you love, love the one you’re with.” Whether the tag referred to her choices or my choices or even your choices, I can be certain that, for every choice, there are some right options, there are some wrong ones, and still others are the ‘right now’ ones - the expedient ones.
Think carefully when I say that ideas are the building blocks of any
creative thinking process. Without ideas, you cannot go very far when
trying to create something unique, inspirational, imaginative and
magnificent to become a successful achiever.
Brilliant ideas were at play when Sir Isaac Newton discovered gravity,
when Thomas Edison discovered the light bulb or when Albert Einstein
stumbled upon the famous energy formula. It was thought provoking ideas
that led to the abundant mega structures around us and it was creative
ideas working their charm whenever we see successful achievers after
successful achievers being churned out.
