Andy Warhol quoted this saying
“They say that time changes things, but you actually have to change
them yourself.”  There is much wisdom in this saying.
Time cannot be a solution to a problem.  Many quotes concerning
time imply that time is the end-all and be-all of things; but as this
quote maintains, time changes nothing.  Rather, we must make wise
use of our time in order to change what needs to be changed.

“Take
One Day at a Time.”

How often do we hear people
say “let’s take it one day at a time”? You know, there’s truth
to these commonly used sayings. After all, we’re only in this
moment once, so we might as well live in this moment and enjoy
it for what it’s worth!

The younger generations feel
that they have all the time in the world at their disposal, and that
they are immortal.  The parent looks forward to the time when their
children are able to be more self-sufficient, and then regret that when
that happens because time “goes by so fast.” And the elder
generations look at what precious little time they have left and do
not wish to waste a moment.

“Why put off until tomorrow
what you can do today.”  “Procrastination is the thief
of time.”  These last two phrases go hand in hand. Time is
one of the few commodities that you cannot get back once it is gone.
You may find yourself rushing from one project to another.  Or,
procrastinating so much that you miss your important deadlines.
Not having enough time to accomplish everything we want to will cause
us to stress out, affect our health, eating habits and feel like we
are always behind the eight ball.

You can create more time in
your day by realistic scheduling.  You need to learn to make decisions
as to what falls where on the priority scale and manage the time to
schedule the important items, and cut out or reduce the allotted time
for the low priority items. I think if each individual sat down and
looked at the events and schedule order of a typical day, they would
see so many blocks that they could recapture the time they are wasting.
Time is of the essence!

You can re-discover that time
in your life and one of the simplest ways of doing so is through the
use of free positive affirmations to target your time management skills.
Take action, starting now, to live your life the way you deserve!

“He who would make serious
use of his life must always act as though he had a long time to live ,
and must schedule his time as though he were about to die.” - Emile
